1. What does ANCO mean?

ANCO Studio was established in 2016 by Director Adrian Deng. Adrian had the dream of creating a safe, minimal and creative space for him and his team to transform and nurture beautiful hair. With the leadership of Adrian, Adrian wanted his salon to not only reflect himself, but to reflect his team and their passion for hair.

 

 In short, the name 'ANCO' stands for 'Adrian aNd CO'.

 2. Does ANCO Studio only specialise in Colour?

No, ANCO Studio does not only specialise in colour. While we are very passionate about colour and are experienced, we are equally as passionate and skilled in all aspects of hairdressing such as hair cuts, styling, treatments, perms, chemical Straightening and more.

3. Why should I book in for a New Client Consultation or Colour Correction Consultation?

There are many dimensions and facets to transforming hair, especially when it's a drastic change, so booking in for a consultation is vital and can help for a smoother process when booking in for your services. 

A consultation will take approximately 15-30 minutes and during this time, you will sit down for a drink with your Senior Stylist/Director to talk about what you envision your hair to be. The stylist will then talk to you to get an understanding about what your hair has been through, what exactly you are wanting to achieve (images of your desired look will help), have a physical assessment of your hair and let you know what the process will be to get to your desired look - while keeping the hair at its healthiest.

During your consultation, your Stylist may decide to take a 'test strand'. Whereby your stylist will take a small amount of hair from different sections to test out how your hair reacts to colour and how well the colour will lift. We will then email you the results and let you know whether or not it is possible to achieve your desired look.

Once you and the stylist have had a chat about your hair, this will allow you both to be on the same page and your stylist can inform you on the process, accurate quoting, duration of the services and book you in for your transformation day. Please note that when booking in for a Colour Correction on the day of your consultation, we may require a 20% non-refundable deposit for your booked services. 

4. How long will a Perm/Chemical Straightening/Aura Smoothing Treatment last?

A Perm/Chemical Straightening will last approximately 6 months to 1 year.

Aura Smoothing Treatments will last up to 4 months.

5. Why should I use Olaplex? Is it good?

There is a reason why ANCO Studio is an Olaplex Ambassador - Because we swear by it.

 Olaplex is world renowned. Olaplex restores, repairs and prevents hair damage. It's a powerful system that heals the hair bonds on a molecular level. Olaplex uses its exclusive patented technology, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate to heal the hair from inside out. This is extremely important to include especially when bleaching or colouring the hair. 

Olaplex also helps with UV and heat tools to further create a barrier between the hair molecule and environmental stressors which will help with overall hair health, dryness and split ends.

6. I cannot find an appointment available for a Late Night or Weekend appointment, what can I do?

If you cannot find an appointment available during a Late Night or Weekend appointment, please give us a call and we can add you to our 'Waitlist'. This allows us to give you a call if one becomes available in event that we get a cancellation or reschedule. 

We recommend booking in for your appointments far in advance to secure an appointment due to the high demand of these appointments. We also recommend booking in an appointment far in advance even if you are on a Waitlist, as cancellations and reschedules are not guaranteed. 

7. Are there any hidden costs to my bookings?

No. There are no hidden costs to your bookings. At ANCO Studio, we aim to be as transparent as possible with pricing. While the following additional prices are stated on our website, they may be missed on occasion. As stated on our 'Services' page, all Colour services require a compulsory $50 Blow Wave charge (a Standalone Olaplex Treatment also requires this). If the Blow Wave was not selected when booking, this will automatically be applied onto your booking. If you have selected a Cut & Style, this charge will not be added.

 

If you are new to hair colouring, one thing to note is that in many cases, a Toner will also be needed with your Foils/Foils & Tint/Balayage/Bleach colour booking so this will also be added. This ensures that the tone of your lightened hair is what you envision your end result to be. 

As stated on our 'Services' page, prices may vary depending on length and thickness.

8. Can I use Laybuy or Afterpay?

Yes. ANCO Studio offers and encourages Laybuy and Afterpay, however this does incur a 5% surcharge fee.

9. I don't know which Services to book for, which ones do I select?

If you are having trouble with bookings, please feel free to give us an email or call and we would love to assist you in booking in!

10. I want to purchase product(s) over the phone, is this possible?

We currently do not offer over-the phone-payments or an option for delivery, but rest assured our team is working on this. We do however provide an option for 'holds' - Give us an email or call and we can hold products for you until you are due to visit ANCO Studio next.

11. Is the salon wheelchair friendly?

Yes. ANCO Studio is wheelchair friendly! While the studio is has 2 levels, we also have hair basins on the bottom level so travelling up stairs won't be required. The studio is designed to be open so there is plenty of space to move around.

12. What is the cancellation policy?

We require a 24-hour notice period for any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. This ensures that we have enough time to reschedule other clients that are on the Waiting List. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24-hours may incur a 50% fee of the total booked services. This will be charged to your account and can be paid upon your next visit.

This ensures both the hair stylists and potential client times are being respected and that no clients are missing out on an appointment.
